Functioning Tractor

One of the barns we acquired came with a delightful surprise—a rather aged tractor. When we purchased the land, we were generously allowed to keep this old relic. After some serious poking and prodding, and with a little help from a friend who knows far more about mechanics than I ever will, we managed to coax the old girl into running again. There’s something rather heartwarming about breathing life back into a piece of machinery that’s seen better days.

The tractor has already proven its worth, lending a helping hand in the monumental task of removing the old trailer from the barn. Mind you, it wasn’t the smoothest operation; at one point, we did manage to rip the door clean off the barn! Nothing says “progress” quite like a bit of unexpected demolition. Still, it’s been an absolute lifesaver, and having the tractor on hand has made what could have been a gruelling task into a rather amusing adventure.

I must admit, I’ve grown quite fond of the old thing. It’s got character, and now, a few more tales to tell. One could say it’s like us—having a laugh while getting the job done, even if it involves a bit of extra “renovation” along the way!
